    Plex app? is that possible?

It's already on other smart tv's.

Is there any possibility that this could make it to the Philips Net TV?

    Sincerely,

    Hallur Orn

This is not an App. It is computer software that interacts with your TV over DLNA, like Tversity and Twonky. Philips TV’s are fully DLNA compatible; the software is free, so give it a go.
We love to read about your experiences here.

Well I have the Plex Media Server up and running but it doesn't show up on my BDP 5200 Blu-Ray Player. So that's why I was hoping for a Plex Client in the Net TV department.

I read on the plex forum that I have to make a "settings" file or something that dictates what the player can play and what needs to be transcoded, so on and so forth. But reading through the thread of instructions was like reading a manual in mandarin, I didn't understand any of it.

DLNA just shows the naked files right? A Plex App Client would be awesome if it would retain some of the beautiful interface from windows/mac. I want to browse my collection in style

    Sincerely,

    Hallur Orn

It is possible, but wil Philips make a Plex client or give the needed source code to the plex devolepers.
the transcoding what the Plex media server can do, is the best way to play varios media formats on a Philips TV.

I'll hope they pick it up!
