Hi,
it only works if your TV was delivered with the two-sided remote contro - that's not the case for 6007.

Hi,
here is something I noticed on 150.48.13 FW whereas it was not there on previous one. (I can't say that it was first seen on 150.48.13, but for sure it was not there in the past)
If you play a 3D mkv file through the USB drive, you cannot see it in 2D.
If you select 2D, you have two images side by side whereas in the past, you had only one full screen image and so you had the choice to watch in 2D or 3D. Now it's only 3D.
Can this be solved in next FW?

Please, people who care to test the HDNM issue, Trying again. Could anyone confimr this is functional ?
Here is a new set of files (same 4 videos + 5th)
Some moving objects behind static lines and contrary.
I made them myself as you will understand.
Can you post if you think your "HD Natural Motion and unique processing formula" gets you "unprecedented motion sharpness" ?
Can you tell what TV model you have, it may be that pfl6007 are worse. Sic!
I may post on youtube the outcome I get on my TV. But later on as I invested much time already.
Is there anyone at Philips to communicate further on the HDNM issue ? Some facts and timeframe for a correction ?
This is a 13-week item by the way for new readers.Last edited by Manuj; 11-06-2012 at 09:00 PM. Reason: New set of files.

Still waiting for Dts sound support. If not, how can we watch 3d movies?
A solution is needed.
Thanks in advance.

DTS audio is not related to 3D, well, as far as I know.
I have only a few 3D animated movies for kids and they play on embedded player.
But embedded Philips player is not as best as an external (such as a tablet or PC with XBMC). It is subject to stuttering when streaming via DLNA. But, apart from DTS, Philips player does the job.

So disappointed... I just bought this tv, I've upgraded to the last firmware and the tv is worth than before... Never seen that before... Philips... Take care of your e-reputation...
I have the sound issue... With a French Internet box with tv in.

Hi Htep,
Tnx for the info. Still some questions:
- Did you, after the upgrade, perform a cold start (unplug mains cord for a few minutes)?
- Is the Orange STB up to date (SW)?
- Does this happen all the time, or only during switching (HD) channels (as I saw some reports on that).
- Did you notice this before? If not, which SW was at that time in the TV?

You shouldn't excuse to anyone. Your TV set was already in your profile (I had seen that), and the sound issue was already reported several times and put into video. It is good to have people telling they have same issue & disappointment.
What would be useful would be to have a way to dump all TV settings in a readable file.
This would always help everyone (Philips and forum users).

Cross post as the HDNM thread is in another section
Former test videos were reported as not sharp enough (XVid codec, 1 pass).
Here is the link for file called V9, using x264 encoder
Frame by frame output in Virtualdub looks razor sharp.
Benedickte wrote to me that developpers were always interested to get more movies to nail down problems. That helps getting progress.
Anyone willing to download and test some 1080p trailers ?
I'm sure we'll get a free panel for all the good beta testing we do !

Untill last evening I didn't manually update my 46PFL8007 to 150.48.13 yet because of the negative comments about this combination. Now, the TV finally notified me that new SW was available so I decided to have a go with it anyway.
As mentioned earlier in this thread; it's clear that menu's/SmartTV section work smoother, faster and seem less buggy which is nice. However, I also noticed a fair drop back in image quality (artifacts mostly). I was happy with the image quality as it was in earlier SW version, and since this is the most important aspect on the TV I'm going to downgrade it tonight.
Philips,
It's clear that most people that have complaints about image quality own a 6000-series TV. However, if the SW thus is being optimized for those TV's, obviously, should that not affect models that run the same SW and worked fine before. I would think that instead, it would be better to make more model-specific software releases. E.g. for 46PFL8007 that would mean image handling parts from 133.5.0 and the menu's/SmartTV from 150.48.13.
Oh, another problem with 150.48.13 in my case was that the remote's qwerty-side didn’t work anymore. (I rebooted the TV (and took powerplug out) and re-paired the remote with no result. In a final ‘desperate attempt’ ;-) to get the qwerty keys going again I took out the batteries of the remote and put them back in. That solved the problem.)
I have good hopes that Philips will resolve all the SW troubles, since it is clear by now there is a problem, and from what we probably all have read, it can be solved for the best part by some service menu changes. A matter of time I’d say.
In the meanwhile can anyone send me a link to SW 133.5.0?!
Thanks!Last edited by DadGommit; 11-07-2012 at 11:39 AM.
