External USB-powered HDD. Anyone got one to work?
I know that for USB recordings an external hard disc should ideally have its own power supply. However, I wonder if anyone has got a 250GB USB-powered slimline external disc to work?
(I want to avoid another mains lead dangling about!)
PS: I would like to point out that my Technisat decoder recorded successfully with a simple 16GB USB stick!

Yes a lot of USB keys runing on other decoder don't run on my 32PFL4007 so.
For the 250 gb disk, you should try after suppressing partition on it, it worked on my 80 Gb that my tv did't want to format with his linux ext3 partition and also with NTFS partition, i removed partition of this disk on my PC and the tv formated it.
Of course all data will be lost on disk.
