    Question about BDP 7700 startup

    Hi all,

    At the moment I'm thinking of buying a new BR player. At the moment I've got the BDP-5180.
    I've got a question about the startup of the bdp7700.
    The bdp-5180 always starts the disc (when present). Also when you just want to use DLNA or Net TV.
    After the disk is loaded you can stop the disc and go to the home screen and choose another activity. This is quite time consuming.

    Does the 7700 have a setting to disable automatic startup of discs? Or is it really really quick with a disk inserted )

    no - it's still not possible to disable automatic startup of discs....

    Have you got an estimate of the startup time? Or do you know if these times have been reduced in recent models like the 7700?

    the overall startup time of 2012 BDPs is much faster that 2010 BDPs...

    Its really fast I remember, especially compared to the ones before as Alex said....exact timing don´t know
