TV 40PFL9606K/02 MPEG4 playback problem with USB
I often create video files MPEG4 in High Def (1980x1020) with MoviePlus X6 software. The files are saved on a external HD which is connected on one TV USB port. If these files contain only video clips, the playback is performed correctly. Sometimes I insert photographies (resolution 1920x1080) in my video files and, during the playback, when one photo is encountered the reading is ended, the screen displays the content of the hard disk.
If I connect the hard disk to my Philips Blu-Ray reader BDP3380, the playback is ever OK. Idem if I connect the HD to the USB port of a Samsung TV and with my PCs.
I think the MPEG4 CODEC of the TV is bugged or uncompletely developped. What is your opinion about this ?

Hi Alain.
Could you please confirm to me what software version you have installed on your TV?
I can see that the resolution on the video and the picuter inserted ( that you have mentioned), are different. This can be the reason why the encounter stops whenever it gets to this point.
Best regards,

Hello,
The software version is Q551-0.14.99.0_bld 78a, french version.
The joined files is a screenshot with the specifications of the video file.
I've tried unsuccessfully to upload a short MPEG4 file but it's already too large (10MB)
I hope these informations are helpful.
Best regards.
Alain

Hello Alain.
Thank you for this.
I can inform you that the lates software version is 14.101 and would advise you to update to this by downloading from support page and use USB to update TV with. French instructions is on the support page with the TV.
You can also use "Media info" to get all the information from the file. Put it all into a notepad file and attach it here.
Best regards,

Hi Alain,
all I can advise to you is try to convert this video to same format but with lower bitrate. It shouldn't change video's quality if bitrate is e.g 7000 or 8000, but playback should be smooth. If you don't know how to do that, contact me to private messege and I will be glad to help.

Alain,
i am always happy to help. It was a bit strange for me that bitrate is problem, because my tv runs .MKV on 15000 bitrate. And with that bitrate I can't move the movie forward. With lower, I can. That is why I taught it is a bitrate issue.
