Hi, I have a Philips BDP9600 Blu-ray disk player, eveything runs fine except the player offen hang/freeze at the home menu. I have to restart the player and it will run normally after then. I have brought the player to the repair center twice and they have changed some parts and even replacement a new player for me but the problem still exsist. I have did some testing myself and I found out that the player will only hang/freeze at the home menu when I turn on the reciever and TV before I turn on my player. The problem will not occur when I turn on the player before turning on my reciever (Onkyo TX-NR609) and my TV (Sony HX920). Do you have any idea of what is causing this problem? Is there a fix to this? I already have the lastest firmware 1.63 inatalled. Thx for looking into this.
