Full HbbTV in latest Flat-TVs ? or when ?

    Hello,
what is please the difference between latest NetTV and HbbTV ?

    Once Philips-Service-Hotline told me :
2010-Flat-TVs with new NetTV firmware have the
    new HbbTV-functions.

    Another customer services member said:
HbbTV is not available in all current Philips-Flat-TVs.

    My questions:
Have 2010/11 Flat-TVs with latest firmware (red button function)
    also "full" HbbTV-function ?
    or
When are PhilipsTVs available with full HbbTV ?
    or
Is there a plan to upgrade 2010-models to full HbbTV ?
    Thanks !!!

To understand your question I looked up what HbbTV is, in Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HbbTV Here you see that HbbTV is just recently developed.
Philips is a steering group member of the HbbTV consortium.
When you go to the HbbTV website http://www.hbbtv.org/ you see the ZDF and ARD examples where the website is directly behind the broadcaster channel.
That is how it working on your Philips TV with Net TV today!
About your question: It is already there for all Net TV models, including the 2009 models.
HbbTV is still under development, so the functionality will expand and increase.

I have the same questions/problems about HbbTV.

Is now (2011) the complete standard of HbbTV in new Philips-TV s
    with Net TV built-in ??
I can't find any official announcement at Philips-Web-Pages
    or leaflets
    that now
    HbbTV-Standard is available.

In a newspaper was only written that Philips will do this.

    October 2010

    Hi,

I think, the HBBTV standard was fully integrated in a firmware which was already release. In the release notes something with Net TV 2.5 was announced...

    Hallo,

    *******
    Die Philips Antwort war:

    >Dezember 2010
    >Sehr geehrte Kundin, sehr geehrter Kunde,
    >

All our Net TV's are HbbTV compatible. It is however up to the broadcasters to make active use of it.

    Hi!
Philips Company should please checking what actual is about
    full HbbTV and Philips Flat-TV-Models 2010 ?

    1.
HbbTV is active from ARD,ZDF, SAT1, RTL and others since Oct.2010 !!!!

    2.
I got a complete different information about
full HbbTV-availability as written from Philips Company
    in this thread on 01-21-2011.

    Philips Customer Service wrote me
that full HbbTV is availabel not till then autumn 2011.

Please see this Philips- answer from Philips Customer Service
    (17.01.2011)
    ====================================
Das Thema HbbTV für aktuelle 2010er Philips TV Modelle ist
    intern noch nicht gänzlich geklärt
    .........

Quartal 2011 erwartet.

    Hi,

that is interesting. But I think it is only an advertisement for the 2011 series. HBBTV is a combination of standards (mostly web: http://www.hbbtv.org/pages/about_hbb...cification.php). And this is only a implementation issue. I think, this is not hardware dependend. So the statement, that all "Net TV capable" devices will support HBBTV, is from this point of view true. However, the question is, if the 2009 and 2010 Net-TV-capable-TV-series is FULLY HBBTV compilant or only parts of it...
