Question Trying to play movies from my USB hard drive

I'm trying to play movies from my 500GB USB Hard drive. HTS 5520 never recognized the drive.
Is there a limitation in the size of the usb drive it can read? 4GB pen drive works fine though.
What is the logic behind this?

how your HDD formatted? FAT or NTFS?
If it is in NTFS format, 500 GB should not be a problem.

Yes. The HDD is in NTFS format.
Could you confirm if my home theater model (HTS 5520) support connecting external USB hard drive?

This should work. Is your HDD with external power? Did you try with a different same size HDD?
