Maybe something got wrong when they replaced your main board. On my previous tv they switched the main board twice because of the reboot problems caused by Easylink and they would not believe me when I hinted that it could be a software issue. Every time they switched main boards something got wrong. First time I could not see any TV any more because of a different tuner that required other option numbers, the second time the boot logo and front let functionality got lost.
Are you sure that the changing of the main board was done properly? Did you had these reboot problems with the old board, no other devices connected by HDMI and Easylink off?

Hi,
just check the option codes printed on a sticker on the back of your TV and compare them with the options codes in the CSM (press 123654 in TV mode). They need to be exactly the same!

Same here, a new tuner, no picture, so I ordered them to swap back the original. Because the new one had same problems. Also I could not convice them that it was software problems and I never had problemsn with 0.98 firmware. The problem, thank god, appeared when he was trying to get new option numbers. He did not know how?First time I could not see any TV any more because of a different tuner that required other option numbers, the second time the boot logo and front let functionality got lost.

Strange effects in low-light scenes. This effect is noticeable especially in the faces. It is clearly a problem of image processing, since in PC mode the problem disappears. Tested in two televisions in my family the same scene, and not have this problem (Samsung and Panasonic). In the previous 9955 model, this problem does not happen. I tried different settings, and the only way to clear this effect is in PC mode.
I leave an example.
movie 2012
Time 1:09:00
See the movements of the face on the right, as if part of the face floating. The video is not noticed as much as on the TV.

There's an update about the "Reboots caused by Easylink" issue (3rd bullet of the firmware history log) that has been fixed through an updated Standby Software and that was planned to be released together with the 14.104 software release, see:

At least with the 000.014.104.000 firmware release, the connection of the TV as a PC monitor is not possible anymore. More precisely, is not possible to select the VGA port when trying to configure the connection of any kind of device. How did I realized it? I had my PC configured with the VGA port and today, when I needed it, I discovered that the device had disappeared in the home menu and a new setup was impossible. Then my friends decided to come back to their homes... Really disappointing. Is there any way to solve the problem by giving to the VGA port its well deserved reputation back again?

Hi guys,
I made a small manual to guide you when you update to the latest standby software version 92 that solves the "Reboots by Easylink" problem.
You can read all the details here: #86

Dear Philips,
On the German forum I found this:
Hallo zusammen,
in den Release Notes wurde folgender Punkt angegeben:
TV turns off and on by itself when EasyLink is enabled
Dieser Eintrag wurde von uns gestrichen.
Hintergrund dazu:
Thomas
Does this also apply to the Dutch version of the 000.014.104.000 firmware?

I have a 58pfl9956 and was wondering is their any experience when it comes to picture settings. Have not done this since many firmware versions back. I feel the firmware has changed things
