You only have to read the thread you have created for us to report on what failures. All Localdimming mention the problem. Send a private message to Toengel and Benedict with Philips response.

They have no respect for the users. The problem was known from day one. Complaint is the majority in this forum. How dare you say that do not know this problem.

    Philips are rascals.

    Thanks for the information.

@Philips - Benedickte (or any other Philips moderator): Is Philips doing anything with the feedback given in the feedback template? Will there be a new software update to solve the many bugs still left in the firmware or has Philips decided not to support the 2011 line any more?

I think we have our answer.

I watched Django yesterday on BluRay. The image was flashing a few times and during the night scenes the local dimming was all over the place.

I second my question. Someone at Philips at least have the decency to give an answer to a simple question.

Philips. This course has been completely forgotten owners 2011. So difficult is to give a simple answer?
    Is by simple education.

Ppl the 2011 firmware development is death, just face it.

As soon as you can sell the tv and buy a new one from another brand, It's what I will do.

I think I will never buy a Philips tv in the next years. Specially after reading that the 2013 models are even worse than this ones. Bugs, and bugs and more bugs....

Shame on Philips, just another brand thinking in making money at every cost without thinking in quality....

For me Philips stopping SW development for 2011 models is normal behavior. Not that a respectable tech company have to act like this, but that is the reality.
What I can NOT accept though is the silence of Philips mods here - a simple confirmation or denial of the fact would have been OK. But playing "blind" and "dumb" is just not an honourable act...

This update is valid for 58pfl9956 (21:9)?
I ask because your partner Thomas noted in German forum that is not valid for the model 21:9, and that for this model was published another update later.

    thank you very much

    Hi,

M models are for sale only in Italy - they also include MHP (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multimedia_Home_Platform)
