DS9860W - Wooden Version
Hi, I was reading about a wooden version of the DS9800W/37 speakers here:
http://www.slashgear.com/philips-fid...aled-11208777/
I really like the regular version and I'd like to buy a second pair of this limited edition version.
Where can I buy them?
Thanks!

Dear zotter,
Many thanks for your interest in this product. I am sorry to tell you that checking in our internal system, seems only /10 (Europe) version is available in early Q3. Hence, there may not be any sales in US.
Kind regards,

Would the European version work in the United States with a proper power adapter?
Where is this version available for purchase in Europe?
Thank you!

Dear zotter,
Apologies for the inforamtion on hand is very preliminary.
What we know is that the product will now be be available Q4 this year, instead of Q3. We are checking to get you more information on this.
* Update: The DS9860W/12 is ok to use in US technically.
Only the Europe products use two extra Wi-Fi channels #12 & #13 that are outside the US FCC regulations.
And the channel 1 to channel 11 are used same frequency & bandwidth both EU & US.
Kind regards,

Hi Leonds9860w,
Sorry for my late response. I have been checking internally the status of this model. It is still under testing & approval process. We do not have information when it will be launched yet. We will update you when we have more solid input. Thank you.
Kind regards,

i am also interested in the "wooden" model. i have the black version, but i would prefer it in wood or any other color.
any idea where to get this in europe?
apart from different finishing, will there also be other changes?

seems the spec the same except the wooden design...
Exquisite design and finishing
• Real hand-crafted wood speaker enclosure for fidelity sound
• Limited edition in Malaysian oak wood finished speaker
guess software wise, will be better as they shud have learnt a lesson from ds9800w
