Accessing Server in LAN via Internet-APP
I try to have a look at the status of my NAS, my router and other via Internet-APP in NET-TV.
When I type for expample a local IP
http:/192.168.123.234:2345/status
and choose the Go Button right of the input line then nothing happens but the cursor goes back to input line.
Open Internet adresses typed in by name do work the expected way.
Is every access routed via NetTV proxy (and of course he he don't have access to my LAN)?
Is there an other way to access Web-Pages in LAN via build in bowser in TV?
I'm using a 32PFL8404H( if it does matter).Last edited by ahasver; 01-09-2011 at 02:04 PM.

Good question, I would also like to know that too,
I also noticed that my pfl7606 accesses a lot of servers/ip-adresses on internet which I didnot ask it to do. One of those IP's belong to goole-analytics. What is that needed for ?
Each new request for a website goes to some central NetTV server
and also DNS resolving is done through the NETtv proxy, I really would like to know what happens to all of that data of all users of philips products, using theirs TV's to browse the internet.
I would really like to know if there is any policy on that information and for how long it is stored,
and who has access to it. In other words does this mechanism follows the european privacy laws ?

Hello,
I was asking me the same questions some time ago. Here is my current knowledge.
It seems, that not every access is routed through NetTV proxy. But the DNS resolve is done through it, when you want to access a webpage.
You can access webpages in your local network by doing the following:
- Create a public available basic webpage which links to your local webpage http:/192.168.123.234:2345/status.
- Open the url of your public available webpage with the internet app
- Follow the link on your basic webpage.
Then your local webpage should be shown on your TV.
I also think, there is a need to show local webpages on the TV. This might be your NAS configuration, your Router configuration/information, home automation portal and there are several other usecases...
Please also see this thread, where the same topic was already discussed: http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...url-IP-Address
