Only shows about 1/2 songs loaded? SA4RGA04KF/37

I have about 300+ songs loaded on to the player, but when I select "all songs" it only shows me a portion of them (about 175). If I go to "folder view" I can see all the songs on there, select them and play them. I'd like to be able to use this to just shuffle all my songs while driving so this is a problem. How can I get the player to see all the songs in the song list? I cannot find any rhyme or reason for the ones it doesn't show.

how you transfer your songs to the player?
is it via Songbird/ drag & drop?

Via Songbird, usually I sync the player, but I've tried drag and drop, adding them without Songbird, adding songs individually without folders, it all seems to have the same results.

Are your songs when transferred in different folders on your pc or not? Can you make one big folder first and put them all and then transfer them

They are all transferred in different folders, by artist. Some show up in the list and some don't. I have tried adding them without a folder, but I hadn't thought to add them all in one folder, I will try that and see what happens!
