Missing Album / Artist playlist
I run the AW1000 with Synology Disk Station NAS. All I get is a flat list of all songs. No folder structure/ playlist even for albums or artists. This makes the device unusable. The playlist part keep on saying: Inhalt wir gelesen, bitte probieren Sie es später erneut.
I hope this gets fixed soon otherwise I need to return it and buy a Sonos.

Dear all,
Unfortunately I have the same problem as MarcBigEar.
I have about 4 different media-players in my house which all support DLNA/UPnP together with my Synology DS207+ Nas.
And the Philips Air Studio (For my brand new AW1000/10) is the first one that doesn't work!
The only thing I get is one big list with all the songs by Title (not even in alphabetical order??).
And belive me, that doesn't work with >300 GB of music.
I tried every different setting I've got on my Synology, nothing worked to make it work as I would like to.
I want to be able to scroll true all the music on the Nas by folder and subfolder etc etc and just say, play all in folder.
It's a damn same because the AW1000/10 is an excellent device that should do exactly what I was looking for. Play all my music from my Nas and internet radio without needing to turn on the TV. But operate it just with my smart phone (IPhone 3Gs with latest iOS).
Please fix this problem, or I'm forced to return the AW1000/10 due to dissapointing properties (of an App...).
Kind regards,
Mattijs

Does anybody know a media server for Synology NAS that would work with Philips AW1000 / Airstudio? How about Plex or miniDLNA? Actually I think Philips should fix the problem, but this will take a while. I have only 21 days to return it, and that would be a shame, because I really like the concept.

Still not giving up. I have tried Plex on my PC, because there is also a version for the Synology NAS. AirStudio recognizes it without any problems and shows a nice structure where you can browse by album, artist, genre, year etc. Hooray! BUT: I cannot play a Flac file (mp3 works). AirStudio say: Format not supported by player AW1000. But this the same that I could successfully play when streaming from the Synology! Just in case you ask: It is not high res, just plain 44 kHz, 16 bit.
So it either directories or flac streaming. Thank you Philips!

Hi! large improvements! thank's a lot! now it's easy to navigate through the files and choose the album ,artist,or type of music....Apparently the volume control as improved, too,it seems more easy to change, more precise, and remain stable, which was not the case before....and the application seems faster, for what I saw until now... Anyway a major problem remains for me: the airstudio app tells me the aw1000 is unable to read flac files, which is wrong, because when I run the aw1000 with the DS audio application provided by the synology, the aw1000 reads them (flac files) without any trouble.Anyway thank you very much, you're on the good way ;-)
