Connecting my Philips CSS2123B/F7 SoundBar Home Cinema Speakers to my Samsung tv?

Hello! I'm posting here in hopes of receiving an answer to my problem. I got a soundbar yesterday for my birthday and also an optical cable with it. The only problem is that my tv doesn't have a port for the optical cable. I know I can try to use auxiliary cables to get sound but those don't work either. My tv also doesn't have a port for the coaxial cable either. Does anyone have an idea on what I could do? Thanks!

    Dear JFarr,

Thank you for the post on the Forum.

As you mentioned in the post, you can use the connection through the AUX cable. In that case, I would recommed you to follow these instructions:

    1. On non-Philips TV, select 'PCM' (PCM) or 'Standard' (Standard) from the TV audio menu. For detailed steps, see the TV user manual. Then, mute the TV to play the TV audio through your SoundBar.
    2. Using an analog cable, connect the AUX connectors on your SoundBar to the audio connectors on the device.
    3. On your SoundBar remote control, press the Source buttons to select the correct audio input.
    4. Make sure that the SoundBar is not muted. Press VOL +/- to restore the sound.

You can also find the instructions in the 'Quick start guide' here:
