Configure network TV with laptop using crossover cable help
The notebook is connected via wireless to the router.
Configured using static IP on the notebook and the TV now using the correct settings.
Plus this gives an error when connecting "Server not found. Try again later"

Hi,
you need to connect you TV with your router directly...
The TV is looking on your notebook for the server and your notebook can not route the server requests correctly...

Its not that easy...
Connecting the two ports with a cross-over cable, means that you create a local network, which mus has a different IP ranges. The TV must has a gateway the IP you will give to the ethernet port.
And then, you have to configure your laptop to bridge the two networks (the wifi one, and the one made form the two devices, the TV & laptop...)
