Decided to take the TV back to the store and get my money back. The new firmware makes it almost unusable in certain cases.
The HDNM is broken.
The backlight dimming feature is broken.
The menus are slow (and broken at times as well as there are instances when the icons are completely messed up).
The tv loses connection to hdmi devices.
There's a crackling noise when the tv outputs dolby digital sound.
The settings reset to defaults for no apparent reason.
And that's on top of a large number of smaller irritating problems.
I have to say that this TV is a huge disappointment, especially considering the price.

I have struck an agreement with my TV store: If Philips don't provide me a working firmware with in reasonable time they will take the TV back, and return it to Philips with an angry note
. They are one of the major internet stores in Sweden. -Bad bushiness for you, Philips!

I guess FW need to be redone completely.
Auto-Update should be turned OFF, in current state... I don't want to see it every 5 minutes.
Menu is slow because of problems with animation. On static menus it is quite fast, but when menu animation starts it goes sloooooow. Just find a source of this problem and fix it. If you cant fix animations, then make a menu without them. Easy fix, lol.

It crazy how philips works the last 2 a 3 years..
I spend olmost 4000 euro on a tv and soundbar, that not work well,
That i shame to let it see and hear to others, because all the things that are wrong
So philips, good luck, you loose a another good long custumor!

I found issues on a 42pfl6007h, software version QF1EU-0.150.82.0:
1. When switching from scart to HDMI (1) the sound is still coming from scart, not from HDMI (1) when no audio is send by HDMI device.
2. Much apps don't exit by using the back button, they stay running for example, uitzending gemist (by pressing red button) and videoland apps do this.
3. User interface is a little slow in my opinion, it's not responding very fast and doesn't smoothly scroll
4. The blue bar which is shown then waiting and going from left to right and back for a while has a blue glow, but this blue glow is cut off by the box (it's not nicely fading out, but cut off at 25% density or somewhat)
5. Ambilight can't stay on in stand-by mode, when pressing the ambilight button the ambilight setting is changed (of, dynamic, static) while screen is off.
6. When playing from a DLNA source audio is sometimes not supported
7. Audio stops for 500 ms a few times a minute and continues when using multi channel audio output over spdif
8. Zapping from channel to channel is slow.
9. When in a menu on the bottom pressing the down button again doesn't go to the top of the list, and when on the top of the list pressing the up button again doesn't go to the botom of the list.
10. Dynamic background lightning flickers sometimes.
11. TV goes automatically on without doing anything
12. TV goes to software update screen without doing anything
I would like some support here so please respond Philips!

Date for next firmware update?
Dear Philips-Support,
I really appreciate your fixing of some of the bugs with firmware 150.82 - but many other really nasty issues remain, like
- no sound via HDMI from my DVD-player (works fine with other brand TVs!)
- TV always reports device as plugged into HDMI1 even if connected to HDMI2, HDMI3 or HDMI4
- crackling noise when switching channels
- slooooow zapping when using external receiver connected via HDMI (no problem via SCART with same device)
- massive artefatcs when HDNM is turned on
- overall slowness of system, e.g. badly juddering sound volume indicator.
Could you please give us a hint as when to expect the next fw update? The last one was released over a month ago.
Thank you!
Regards,
letsmakethingsbetter

9. When in a menu on the bottom pressing the down button again doesn't go to the top of the list, and when on the top of the list pressing the up button again doesn't go to the botom of the list.
11. TV goes automatically on without doing anything
12. TV goes to software update screen without doing anything
Some of the other you are experincing is already reported to development. Please wait for further SW updates.

Please wait for further SW updates.
Giving us an ETA (estimated time of arrival) would be something...
We all feel like we're being left in the dark...

47PFL6007K/12 - FW 150.082
1. HDNM that Philips's big defeat - picture looks like a "theater" + artifacts
2. All the time I turn OFF that HDNM - after turn off/on TV HDNM is ... ON !!
3. WiFi like the LOTTO - sometime is OK, sometime can't link to router (2m distance without walls)
There is so much to improve - WE WAIT for the corrected FW !

I got the following problem since this weekend.
After i turn off the TV is turn itself back on again and my blu-ray turns on as well, probably because of the easylink option (wich is turned off), if I turn the TV off again my blu-ray also switches of.
Then the TV turns on randomly when it's off, for (I think) about 10 minutes then shuts down again. After removing the powercord I get 1 normal shut down where the TV doesn't start again or randomly starts up, but after the second shut down, the problems are back. So now I remove the powercord at night and when I'm not at home to prevent it from turning on. The quick start option is turned off.

1-TV menu is very slow.
2-Remote controller feedbacks are so slow. The TV sound is slow when on/off.
3-Smart TV doesn't support Flash Player powered internet pages. Smart menü is very slow.
4-The TV menu sometimes gets locked and keys don't work. Volume up/down and channel forward/backward
keys sometimes get locked and don't work.
5-Password channels on CI+ module don't operate when TV is turned on after being turned off.
The card on CI+ module needs re-altaching after being detached.
6-Even when the motion mode is at minimum it deforms the logosin actions scenes.
7-Even when dinamic backlight setting is turned standart dense horizontal lines appear when daytime
light in films go in to night time lights and vice versa.
