Headset SBH5500 not detected on Windows 10

    Hello,

I bought Philips SBH5500 and my laptop running Windows 10 cannot detect the headphones.
Neither can my phone with Windows Phone 8.1 OS.

I've tried to fully charge them and then pair them, nothing seems to change.
I've also updated the drivers to the latest possible - nothing.

Bluetooth on my PC is able to detect other devices, such as my phone and the other way around as well.
I've already spent several hours to make this thing work and nothing seems to help. I'm getting really desperate.

    Please advise.
    Thank you in advance.

    BR, Erik

    Hello Erik!

Welcome to the Philips Support Forum. Thank you for reaching out to us.

Have you tried connecting your headphones to any other Bluetooth device, such as an Android/iPhone? The problem you are experiencing might be because of a difference in the Bluetooth protocols on the two devices. Only devices that share the same protocols can exchange data. Since you have already updated the drivers for your Bluetooth on your PC, and have the latest software, what you could do is to buy a Bluetooth adapter that includes the same Bluetooth protocols as the SBH5500.

I hope this solves your issue. If you got any other question please feel free to contact me again.

    Many Thanks,

    Philips - Katerina

    Hello Katerina,

I've managed to solve this issue by soft restart (pressing plus button and power for a few seconds)
Then my computer found the headset.
It's a shame that there is nothing about that in instructions

However problem is solved now, thank you for your effort

    Erik
