    SHO7205 replacement cable

    Hi,

I have a pair of SHO7205 headphones. Last week the left ear started going OFF and ON, I unplugged the cable and connected the headphones directly to my phone and found out that the headphones are working fine, which leads me to believe that it's the cable that's damaged.

Today I went to an authorized service and they told me that the only way they could take a look at it is if I show them the purchase receipt, but I believe I no longer have it with me.

So, how and where can i get a replacement cable?

    Thanks,
    Ignacio

    Dear Ignacio,

Thank you very much for the post on the Forum.

I would suggest you to contact your local Philips Customer Care centre and they will be able to help you with the issue.

As I do not know in which country you are situated, please find the contacts on your local website here: http://www.support.philips.com/suppo...cale_org=gb_en .

    Thank you very much.

    Kind Regards,

    Philips Moderator Team

    Hi,

First of all, thanks for the quick response.

I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I've already contacted them about it. They told me I should go to their authorized service.

In there, they told me they wouldn't repair/replace the cable if I don't show them the purchase receipt (which I no longer have), and since this headphones just came out in Argentina, they don't even have a code number for the replacement part in case I would like to buy it...

So that's our dilemma, on one hand the headphones are too new to have replacement parts but at the same time, they need to see my purchase receipt to check i'm still under warranty (weren't they too new?). Meanwhile, I cannot listen to my (almost) indestructible headphones!

I mean, this headphones are not cheap, they're in production, and are marketed as a really tough product to break. That's why I cannot understand how is it possible that the cable broke under normal use (in fact I take much care of them) and Philips is not even able to give me a solution... they even went as far as telling me that I should buy the product again since the repair is not cost effective!!!

    Regards,
    Ignacio
