On fast movement and camera shakes the objects and pillars stretched and deformed like elastic.(on every input signal)
Unacceptable.
On sdtv with much movement and scrolling letters the deintarlacing is pathetic with gaps and interlaced lines.
Also unacceptable.
Remove the useless smart tv,unnatural natural motion and funky icons and make the tv functional.
I want previous firmwares until you fix the basics.
At least when i bought the tv i enjoyed movies through hdmi.

I must admit that outside the motion problems the picture quality is perfect.
My previous tv Samsung EH5000(for one week before i return it) it was garbage.

Hi all,
I've got a 40PFL5007 model and i have a problem with the Favorites Channel List. After i mark and arrange all the channels that i want and set the Favorite List as default i am able to navigate&see only the channels from the Favorite List. But if i turn the TV off and the back on, the Channel List will reset to "All". To be more precise, even if the active list is "Favorite", the TV shows me all the channels (Digital, Analog, Radio). The last firmware didn't fix this problem. Now i have to manually set the ALL list as active, then set the Favorite list as active every time i start the TV. Please investigate.

Where can i find older firmwares for my 32PFL4007 to revert?
Every new day and a new problem arise.
I want to choose the firmware with the least irritating problems for me because with every new firmware a problem solved and many more problems are created.

For example the last problems that i discover are:
1. If i switch many times between hdmi 1(PS3) -hdmi 2(PC) and tv channels some times the tv channels dont have sound and i must restart the tv(switch off-on).
2. After hours of watching the motion (especially on football-basketball and scrolling lines on sdtv) jerks every 2-3 seconds like the memory of tv is full and if i restart it the motion is again fluid.
3.And again the motion is like liquid gel and not rock solid on all signals and inputs.
Of course the HDNM is always off.

The Philips name and history deserves better and more.

46pfl5507 has a huge problem with switching source HDMI-ARC. Many times there is no sound after switch source or tv hung and power reset is needed. I curious if exist worse tv, and other so bad software support? Still no useful upgrade and so many bugs!!!

I just read on 6/7/8/9 forum that the deforming stretching shrinking motion is generic on other tvs too.
Why don't you fix it?
It appeared on last two firmwares.
It's very simple, revert the motion algorithm 2 firmwares back or give us the ability to choose the best firmware.
We don't live for ever to waiting.
I have learned to live with 27 steps to adjust contrast and 12 steps to set sleep timer but i cant stand this motion problem.
I have tired.

This is the second time that they replaced the mainboard of my 42pfl4307H/12 and I still have clicking sounds/static noises with ps3/pc. They said they fixed it.. I was adviced by Philips admin to use the analog inputs but who wants 576p picture....? I also have audio drops & static noises when using optical out or hdmi from my tv to the reciever. This tv just can't handle uncompressed audio (PCM) even dobly digital and theres no dts at all!! Ghosting when playing games is also there. My previous tv was a lcd (sony) had also ghosting problems but the refresh rate was low I knew that anyway. My warranty is running out in a few months. please fix it or make a proper firmware.

Is it possible to add some basics features (available on all others tv like LG or Samsung, but missing on philips) on next firmware please
- duration of a movie when we are watching one thanks to usb port
- quality of channel we are watching (1080, 720, 576, 460 ... )
- synchronize subtitle of movie playing thanks to usb port

and since 2012-12-18 the firmware has been stuck on version 000.096.000.000, even if both in release notes and FAQs it is strongly recommended do upgrade to temporary firmware version 99.0.0.0

my question is, will a definitive firmware v1.0 ever be released?

this TV still has many software bugs and problems I'd like to see resolved...

I can confirm also that the the black ghosting is really noticable with Philips 40pfl5507 (Sharp panel) in Sleeping Dogs, due the really strong contrast in the game. I hope this can be fixed / make it less noticable with a future FW update.

Please fix the encoding on 5507 when playing Cyrillic subtitles, or enable the menu option to change it manually.

It is annoying to not be able to read subtitles on brand new TV. Shame!!!

Hello , I have a 47PFL4307H tv when the film rewind from USB Disk format MKV , this hangs on television . Softvarově current TV is the latest, tried 3 different discs , even when scrolling problem from a USB Flash drive. What do thank you for your answer .
