CSS2123/F7 Sound bar not working, connection should be good

Just got the CSS2123/F7 sound bar and hooked it up with AUX cables and I get no sound. The iLink jack works fine. When I attach the first aux cable I get sound (feedback) telling me it can work, but when I attach both cables I get no sound. I've got it on the right setting (AUX) and I've tried everything I can think of. I've checked my tv (Magnavox) for a PCM sound setting but it doesn't have one. It's a bit older (2008) and has a limited menu but it should work anyway: it doesn't have an optical connection but it does have coax and I will try that when I get a cable but the AUX should still work in the meantime, right? Any suggestions?

/F7 models are not being supported around here nor is there any other forum where you can subscirbe to for these products.
