    My BDP7700 can't play my blue ray 6 disc album "The Pacific"

    I just got the blue ray 6 disc album "The Pacific" as a present but was disappointed as it does not play in my Bdp7700/12 blue ray player. Other blue ray discs play beautifully.
    Can I please kindly have some directional help?

    Thank you for your assistance.
    I have successfully installed through WIFI the latest firmware Version 3.53 dated 6th Nov 2012 but the player still cannot play any discs of my 2010 HBO album "The Pacific". Other blue ray discs play well even other old DVD's and others burnt by myself.
    When I insert a disc from this album I get 2 messages.
    Message 1: Playback is starting from the beginning of the disc. (Actually playback won't start)
    Message 2: This disc might contain BD-Live features. To enjoy BD-Live connect a USB storage device with at least 1GB of free space, then eject the BD-Live disc and load again.
    I did everyting requested in Message 2 but the problem persisted as before. I got a repeat of Message 1 but again no playback whatsoever. Message 2 did not appear this time.
    This album "The Pacific" states in very small print that this feature requires a BonusView enabled Blue Ray disc player. So I fetched up page 13 regarding "BonusView on Blue Ray" on my BDP7700/12 user Manual. I followed the instructions on screen but when as told I came to select "PIP SELECTION", a NO ENTRY white round sign appeared on screen and I could not proceed further to solve the problem. So I don't know what else to do. Please help with some effective instructions.
    By the way, the discs have no barcode on them and no region is stated. But there is a barcode on the box cover. It has the numbers 1000165019 on top of the inside of the rectangular white label and the numbers 5 051892 020312 at it's buttom. Further down just outside the label there are also the nos 5000088212.
    One more thing. I read somewhere that after the upgradingto Version 3.53, one has to switch off and on again the player; go to SET UP menu and on the remote control scroll down to ADVANCED and select Restore Factory Default, and the player would automatically restart. I did not do this because I find it contradictory to do Restore Factory Default when I have just done the upgrading. I think selecting Restore Factory Default would cancel out my upgraded version. Am I right?
    Please kindly help as I am really disappointed not being able to view this album. I am sure there is a way to a solution. Thanks and regards.

    Hi Oscar
    Thanks very much for your kind suggestion. But when I read it I had already taken the device and my discs of "The Pacific" to the Doneo shop here in Malta and they solved the problem in a few minutes. They opened another brand new Bdp7700, hooked it up, inserted the disc and ole', the Pacific played beautifully without even updating the software. So they took back the faulty one and gave me this brand new one, no questions asked. How's that for excellent customer service!
    I must say I am now very happy with this Blu-ray player. And thanks to the friendly staff at Doneo's I can now have a more relaxing festive season.
