Audio Unprecictabile on 42PFL5604H with SKY TV Connection - HELP

We have been having this problem over a year and still stands unresolved.

The internal TV speakers seems to have it's own mood on when to switch on!... It works when we first switch it on in the morning (most times) and then once the TV is switched off, it does not work at all for that day. If the TV is switched off for an extended number of hours (never the same number for hours) it turns on again!

For a time being I had connected the audio out to an external DVD player. I am currently having an issue with my DVD player and hence this problem needs immediate resolution.


I have tried numerous things:

- Got the latest Firmware from Philips and loaded it... no resolution
- Tried changing the sequence - switch SKY First and then the TV - no resolution
- Changed the HDMI connections to other HDMI ports - no resolution

I suspect it is something to do with the combination of the firmware and the HDMI output from the SKY. But all inquires to both philips customer support and SKY is not helping resolve this issue.


Any assistance or insight will be greatly appreciated!
