Recently purchased Philips AS351 Android Speaker dock and having problems with Samsung Galaxy Ace not charging.

There is nothing wrong with the connectors on the Galaxy Ace as it works fine with mains charger and charging via usb on PC. I tried using the same USB cable with the Philips AS351, but with no joy. I also have a Samsung Galaxy S2, which works fine with the AS351, charges no problem. The Galaxy Ace works well with the speaker dock apart from the charging issue.

Anyone else had these issues and if so is there any solutions? Also before anyone says I have tried moving up and down the parts that hold the phone on.

The ace is on Gingerbread software version 2.3.6, was previously 2.3.3, I thought maybe updating the phone would solve the issue.
