Model: BDP3000/05, software 1142.1 (the latest)

I have seen plenty of reports of this problem elsewhere on the forums, going back many months, but I still haven't seen a fix. I load a Game of Thrones Blu-Ray disc; the player gets as far as "Play" on the front display, but then the screen goes blank, the player completely freezes, and the only way forward is to physically disconnect the power and start afresh. Just once in a while, quite rarely, the disc loads properly and plays properly.

My player is not connected to the internet or anything fancy.

Should I just go out and buy a Blu-Ray player from another manufacturer?
